HP printer

HL 2270, Laser printer. The Printer installs OK but when everything is closed it leaves a small window open that will not go away... if I add another printer, the same thing happens.

Try deleting all your printers and then open a terminal (Menu | Accessories | Terminal or Ctrl+ Alt+ T) and enter

system-config-printer

BUT BEFORE YOU DO! - Have you scrolled down Wolfman's excellent post-install guide regarding HP Printers and the packages you need to install?

The Printer works fine ...but that 'box' stays on screen.. I will try as you suggest and let you know what happens. thanks for the help.
Have Z8 Gamer/64bit will read Wolfmans post and boards before install. Wish to duel boot on a Win 7Pro machine... don't need to screw it up for lack of knowhow..
