[SOLVED] DVD ISSUES

Running Z7 on new Gateway laptop

Commercial DVD will not play, get stream in wrong format error ??????

Install SMPlayer from here:

http://smplayer.sourceforge.net/ (you need the ubuntu package)

and if still no luck (which I doubt as it comes with every conceivable codec) you should be fine, if not, install VLC (Video Lan Converter) from here:

https://www.videolan.org/vlc/ (Again the ubuntu package).

One last thing - it isn't Blu-Ray is it - in which case it won't play in that Optical Drive!

When the box opened at disc insertion, I set it to use VLC and its sweet,
