Is this the right path to a network shared folder?

run/user/1000/gvsf/smb-share:server=owner-pc,share=music/Mp3

I am trying to configure Wine and Foobar 2K a win app. Online advice said to create a new drive in Wine and configure its path as the address of the networked folder so Foobar can find the files there and add to its library. I get error msgs. with above. But it's the path Clementine and DeadBeef show when they're adding files to either library or playlist. However I get error when foobar tries to add my new drive to its library

owner-pc is the name of the win pc on the network and the folder structure in windows is d:/music/mp3. This may not be the right way to do this. I am new to linux, so if the answer is to mount the folder, please tell me how or point me to instructions thanks. My Zorin file system has no trouble browsing to the folder on my PC and I've saved it as a bookmark. Thanks

Hi,

normally anything installed via Wine will have its own path starting with the main Wine folder, check the Wine Programs or Browse C: Drive in Wine in the main menu.

I don't do networking so please also look here:

if that is what you are trying to do.

thanks. The links you posted are mostly about how turn your ubuntu machine into a file server that the windows machine can see. I have the opposite issue -- and it's really focused on how to get a win app working under wine on my ubuntu machine. I've posted a note in the forum devoted to helping foobar users, somebody there will likely have faced my problem. Gracias.
