Dell Inspiron 6000 Touchpad not working

in need of some assistance im new to linux and i installed zorin os 8 to my dell inspiron 6000 everything works but the touchpad is lagging alot its an alps touchpad if that helps any

Hi,

open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + t) and paste the following command and restart your PC and see if the problem has been fixed:

Code:: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -f

Let us know what happens!.

tried it.. it did help a bit still has the lag when i first use the touch pad

Hi,

have you looked in System Settings > Hardware > Mouse & Touchpad?.
