Hello,

I am switching a large number of users from Windows XP to Zorin OS, and would love to be able to install Zorin from a PXE boot. Is this possible?

Thank you.

Hi and welcome to Zorin! :D Whilst Zorin is based on Ubuntu, it does not have an .img disk for the purpose of PXE so there will be a quite a bit of work for you to do! For starters:

1. Scroll down to section 7 of this link: https://www.gnu.org/software/grub/manua ... ml#Network

2. Check out the sections of this guide but replace the 'Ubuntu img' with what you have gleaned from 7 onwards on the previous link (I think! )

Hi,

or just do USB installs, quick and painless!. 10 to 15 mins per unit with a basic install!.

Thanks, I hope to look into that tomorrow! I thought about USB, but hate tying up a usb drive for the zorin install. If I can't get the PXE boot working I will go to USB.
