Repair Nautilus

I'm using Zorin 8 32bit (free version). I recently installed a windows app using wine; the process crashed and after a reboot, the app installed correctly and works fine. However, even after several reboots the bacground is a black screen. I can launch the Zorin Menu and see all menu items however cannot launch Computer, Documents, Network or switch desktops to another iteration of Gnome, Windows etc.. When I attempt to display a download from Firefox, I am presented with the Disk usage window. So I'm assuming being a new linux user that the Nautilus interface is the culprit. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply. However, this isn't black screen problem, I can see menu items and launch applications including the application I installed under WINE, with the exception of the Nautilus file manager.

Hi,

open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + t) and paste the following command:

Code:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -f

Restart and see if that fixes the problem, it may be just a dependency error!.
