[SOLVED] Canon mg7160 driver

Does anyone know where I can find a driver for this printer please?

The mg7160 is not in the list.

Hi there, Having checked Zorin 8's list of Canon drivers it is also not present there. I had this issue in the past with an i865 - had to use BJC 800 driver to get it to work until one became available - how did I work this out? I did a perverse bit of detective work - I looked at what printers the ink cartridges supported and chose the most latest one. Having looked at the list in Zorin 8 I would try for the PIXMA mg6200.

For a successful install use this method when installing a printer. Open a terminal (Accessories | Terminal) and enter:

system-config-printer

You will be asked for your password (you won't see any asterisks so be careful). When the interface appears, click on the plus and follow the prompts.

You can install it with Gdebi!.

On the Canon website link I posted, it isn't listed as you already stated!.
