[SOLVED] Update to Unbuntu 14.4

Hi. Having just successfully used the Software Updater, I get a box on the screen saying my system is up to date "However Unbuntu 14.04 is now available (you have 8)"...speaking possibly on behalf of those who have moved from XP, I am not sure if I should, how to do it & what are the implications for settings & connections that took an age to establish (in my case to a printer). Thanks in advance :?:

Hi Germiston, do NOT use the update function or you will corrupt Zorin 8 - Zorin 9 will be based on Ubunty 14.04 which will need a reinstall of the OS to the new one (unless the devs are working on a roll-up routine but I don't know if this is technically possible.) Is your Update Manager Settings set to 'Never' in respect of updating to latest version of Ubuntu?
