Playing cd, dvd etc.

Hi, would like to know if it's possible to have a cd or dvd, run when I put one in, or at least how to see it on the system. Burned a WAV file to a dvdrw, cannot get it to
run. What program or settings do I need to change? Will not show disc info or anything.

Open the configuration editor and go to > apps > nautilus > preferences and check that "media_autorun_never" is not cheked!!

Alt + F2 > sudo gconf-editor

You can also open the control center and look at "preferred applications"!.
