Hi, just installed Zorin 8 32 bit on a Dell Precision and having 2 problems.
1. Google chrome does not show when i click, doubleclick the icon in the taskbar nor from the startmenu internet.
2. on the right side of the taskbar I see a white tab but no icons on it, so I can't see any time or active connections. Rightclicking does not show preferences.

Anybody any idea? Thanx in advance, I'm e newbee on Zorin..

Hi,

open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + t) and paste this command, do the updates and then restart:

Code:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -f

Let us know if it helps!. :D

Hi Wolfman,
Thx for the quick response, I already did a fresh install and now it seems to work ok.
I'm now updating with the commandline you adviced and that seems to go nice.
As soon as that is finished I'll let you know the result.

Hi Wolfman,

Update succesful, Zorin runs fine now. Can I use the commandline in terminal for future updates, or is there a automatic update warning in this os? Best,

Hi,

good news then!. :D

The automatic updater will kick in now and then depending on how you have your software sources updates set, see the update guide link I posted earlier for more details!.

Have marked as solved!. :D
