Hello,

I have been reading so tutorials about Zorin and about Ubuntu, but I am steel a newbie.
In many off them you have an option called "Universal Access". I can't find it anywhere. souldn't it be on start>system preferences>Universal Access
I am currently using Zorin 8 Lite. Is that problem?
By the way, is Zorin as easy to upgrade as Ubunto. I mean without having do wipe your disk.

Thank you

Hi,

to upgrade and save your settings & data:

I am not in Zorin Lite at the moment; you can check this list of uni apps and install what you need!:

Hi, at the login screen, the only accessible functions are 'large text' and 'high contrast'. If you are after the screen reader, you will have to manually install that, either via 'Synaptic Package Manager' or from a terminal type:

Code:
sudo apt-get install gnome-orca

I've just downloaded Lite tonight to see if it was there using Virtual Box on Zorin 8 Ultimate - it isn't. I don't know of any magnification programs that are available in Lite/for Lite. Compiz has a very good Accessibility section but I don't think it runs on underpowered kit very well such as old notebooks etc.

On a side note was interested to see it has a Nexus 7 desktop environment! :o

For magnification, kmag - but this is likely to install a lot of KDE stuff for it to work as well! :D

Hi, do you mean no luck making the mouse pointer bigger? If so give this a go:
