Turbo Print subsitute

I help retired Seniors switch from XP to Zorin to continue using their computers without spending additional money. The only problems that I find are with printers. Turbo Print seems to make a lot of printers usable in Linux but many Seniors on a fixed income cannot afford $40 for turbo print. Is there another program that can do the same thing for free. Can a turbo print license work for more than one computer, or is each specific to the printer? I am currently trying to get a Brother MFC 7340 working with Zorin. Everything looks like it should work but nothing prints.

Hi,

not sure about turbo print but here is something for your Brother printer to start with:

Further to what Wolfman has said, I find that launching the printers interface from the terminal works better:

Code:
system-config-printer

Thank you. When the terminal command is three lines, do I hit ENTER after each line? Like what Wolfman suggested.

Hi,

with regard to Turboprint, it is a pay version software (€30) and if you have all the correct drivers for your printer installed, you won't need it!. :D

Here it is if you want to spend money:
