how to fix lag in zorin ?

i recently installed zorin os 8 32 bit and it is laggy and it is not smooth how to make it
smooth .do i have to change the kernel of it?

Did your system get real laggy after maybe you installed a graphics driver.
And was maybe this graphics driver the Nvidia 331.00 version.
Just Curious.

i did not install graphics driver it was laggy from the starting

OK... wait around for Wolfman or Swarfendor to answer that particular question.
They can explain how to go about things a little better than I can.
That shouldn't be to long from now.

Hi,

what method of install did you use?, disk or USB stick and did you follow this advice?:

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4771

Have you done a full update?, open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + t) and paste the following command and then restart:

Also it would help to know if this is dual-boot or just Zorin and no other OS present. :D
