I've recently installed Zorin 8 on an old machine for my mother-in-law. I'm used to using Ubuntu/Gnome and have a system monitor applet that, in addition to CPU usage, displays HD, memory, network usage and load. Is there such an applet available for use with Zorin?

Yes, it is called system monitor. I normally type "System Monitor" into my search bar on the menu and I find. Not sure where in the menu it should live but that is a work around.

Thanks Wolfgang, but I'm actually looking for an applet to run in the panel. Essentially like the "System Monitor" available, but one that includes these other system metrics.

Hi,
go here and look for the pkg "awn-applets-all" but you will have to include (see "requires") all the other files as it will have dependency issues otherwise!:
http://pkgs.org/ubuntu-12.10/webupd8-i3 ... l.deb.htmlIf you scroll down, you can also add the PPA from webupd8 for the packge(s)!.
