(SOLVED) bitdefender scanner for unices on zorin 8

I got over the installation, set new key and updated bitdefender. I've tried to scan ...pressing the scanner button seems to cause the program to crash. How do I know its scanning or is it scanning in the background? Help!!! :x :x

Thanks wolfman. I figured it out late last night. The red bitdefender icon is for drag and scan. So now I just drag, drop and scan the files/folders I want its on demand scanning. Doesn't seem to be realtinme scanning on email box...I'm using thunderbird email.
