Bash Scripts Not Executing

Hello,

I am trying to get bash scripts to execute when I double click them. I have tried using dconf-editor as administrator to set nautilus to launch executable text but bash scripts still just open in text editor when double clicked. How do I make launch the default in zorin?

I have created some a handful of bash scripts in Debian but Zorin is my first non-server linux experience with an actual desktop.

Greetings, dpannone.

Just a newbie, but this one I think I know...

In Nautilus use Location Options (upper right):
Preferences | Behaviour | Executable Text Files
and select
Run executable text files when they are opened

If I'm wrong, I'll leave it to guru's... ;)

Take care,
Simon

PS. I presume your files are executable, right?

Hi,

in order to change any scripts; you would need to make yourself "root" in Nautilus, open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + t) and paste the following command and then do what Simon suggests!:

Code:
gksudo nautilus
