[RESOLVED] Picasa in Zorin 8

Since Zorin 8 uses Google and Picasa comes from Google,why is Picasa not compatible with Zorin 8.I've recently started running OS8 and like every thing but Shotwell.I have used Picasa for years and there is no comparison.I'm about ready to go back to Windows so I can use Picasa.

Extract the tar.gz file...then right click on the installer and open with [ Wine ] to install the application.
Remember this has to run with [ Wine ] being it is made for [ Windows ] !!!!
If your new to [ Wine ] via GNU/Linux.

you can get a deb package from here which is easier to install but is an older version! I believe:

Thanks to you both,I have it installed and working somewhat.It freezes up once in a while is why I've down loaded 4 times.I'll keep working at it.Regards,Norm

No luck with Picasa.I thought it was going to work but just keeps freezing up.Found Digi-Kam in the software center.It's better than Picasa and Shotwell combined.My search for a good Photo Suite is done.Thanks again.Norm
