Hello
I incidentally saw this file in my Win 8.1 under C: with no pathway.
Occasionally I use Zorin as a pen drive and wondered if these are related. Because it is 767 MB I would like to remove it but I don't know if it will do harm to the system or other files.
Could you please advise?

Could well be - could only find similar issue in Italian XFCE website - someone complaining they could not delete but someone managed to delete whilst running mcpup live!
