Picasa 3 for Zorin ?

Hi All.
I am trying to find a SIMPLE photo management programme, that works on Zorin.
So far, the best programme I have found, using Windows, is Picasa 3.
I do not " Photoshop " or Yutube or any of the other Twitbook face stuff.
All I use it for, is sorting and emailing my photos.
in Windows, I take the memory card from the camera, and stick it in my notebook.
Then I just click, import, and wait.
Once imported, I delete what I do not like, then, there are simple steps to select and email photos.

I was very happy when I found this:

http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/4-photo-al ... ers-linux/

In second place, was Picasa, so I followed all the download instructions, and got the following message !

Picasa is not currently available for your operating system

So why is it on the list ?
Does anyone else, know of a simple photo programme, that keeps each session in a separate folder, and allows you to just click on a picture and email it ?
I have tried some other programmes, but they seem to randomly mix up my photos.( In Windows )
Picasa keeps the files in order.
Any Ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Wally

Thanks, I did that. and as I freely admit, I am not very good at this !
This is the list I ended up with:...... select

Distribution
Kubuntu
Ubuntu
Debian
Arch Linux
Mandriva / Magela Linux
Suse Linux
Fedora Linux
Gentoo Linux

No mention of Zorin.
Perhaps you sent the wrong link ?
Thanks for trying.

Ah, :!:
Thanks for that, in the meantime I found a load of comments about how picasa would freeze up, and most people recomended digiKam, from the software store.
So far, I have found it easy, as in you just click on one thing and it downloads its self, without complicated menu choices.
After downloading digiKam, I couldnt find it, for a while.
Now I have got it open, and will take some piccys to test it, later today.
Thanks for your help
Wally.

Hi, hope it goes well - have you also tried Shotwell that comes with Zorin? For modifying photos I highly recommend 'Darktable'

Code:
sudo apt-get install darktable

It's what I used to create this:

Wow, that looks really good.
That sort of thing is way beyond me.
I have been using Picasa in XP for ages, and all I need, are the following 3 basic functions :
Import..Select..Email.
I do not do any modifications, just select and send.
I did try that digiKam thing, but the email part isn't there, just facebook twittter n stuff , so I deleted that.
Then I did find a Picasa for Ubuntu, and its similar to the windows version, apart from the email.
Every time I put my email details in, it says " Login Failed, Please try again later. "

So, so far, on this ride, I have had to restart, go to XP, and use Picasa from there, to get the blog going.
Oh, I dont think I mentioned that ; [url]motoguzziriders.com[/url]
Anyway, if anyone knows how I can get my email to work through the Ubuntu version, please let me know.
Thanks Again
Wally

That being the case, I would advise 'Shotwell' - it is in Zorin by default I believe! :D :

Hmm, I have now tried that, and it is no different, to digikam.
It does not have an email function.
I can get as far as SEND, then the program gives me 2 options:
Send to CD & Send to DVD.
Nowhere to put an email adress.
Thanks for your help, but Ill just have to stick to the Windows version of Picasa, its just like me, Simple
