This may be a stupid question but how do I update my time zone on Zorin OS 8.1? When I click on the clock and select Date & Time Settings the System Settings come up and I cannot find any way to update my time zone.

Try: Start > System Settings (on the right hand side) > Time and Date (in the last section called System).

Let us know how you get on.

There isn't a Time & Date setting there.

There have been reports that after an update the Time and Settings disappear - not in Zorin at present, but is there not a 'lock' of some kind showing that you have to click on to unlock and then asked for password?

If still having issues you need to install 'gnome-time-admin':

Code:
sudo apt-get install gnome-time-admin

After installing and still within the terminal enter:

Code:
sudo gnome-time-admin

you will be asked for your login password after which it should launch.

I could not find a graphical way to update the time zone but I did update the time zone from the command line by typing

Code:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata

and the country and time zone setup screen will display.

Reboot and the correct time will be displayed

Hi, 'faux pas' on my part!

Code:
sudo apt-get install gnome-system-tools
yay Wolfman! :D

Then open a terminal and enter:

Code:
time-admin

You will need to click on the unlock - password required - to make changes! :D
