[SOLVED] turn off zoom effects

please tell me how to turn off zoom effects of menus and apps - it makes things run slower when using the computer via remote control - thanks!

Hi, Menu | System Tools | Preferences | CompizConfig Settings Manager.

Close the warning message and search for 'Animations' - uncheck and apply - that should stop the zoom function - if it doesn't get back to us - either way!

super - worked - although i did not see an apply button, i just closed and it worked, now the menus snap nice rather than being fuzzy blobs - thanks!

HI, I responded at work so different OS - just said 'Apply' to be safe - as memory not too brilliant!
