Hi

In WinXP I can add a link to a document (spreadsheet etc on the desktop). If I try that in Zorin the link only works until I turn off the computer. When I turn on again the link is broken. Any ideas please.

Hi, If you go to the documents in your 'Documents' folder, can you right-click, select 'make link' then drag the newly created shortcut to desktop? Is that how you are doing it?

Hi
Swarfendor437 - thanks for response. I am making the link as you suggest.
I use Box Sync on WinXP to synchronise data between my two computers. If I link to the Box Sync files from Zorin Internal the links are broken when I restart Zorin. If I copy a Box Sync file into the Zorin Documents folder and link from that the link remains intact.
I don't want to copy the files into Zorin Documents as they will not get updated automatically
Is there any workaround to solve this please.

Hi, It's not something I do myself; all I could find was this:

Hope it might offer a glimmer of a solution? :D
