Compiz and Awn

I absolutely love the look of Zorin 9 core and like some of the features you guys have come up with.....However I do have a question and I am wondering if it is true that Compiz is dead and no longer being updated?

I noticed in the Compiz Setting Manger several features have been removed......will Zorin stay the compiz path....or will there be a change in upcoming editions? Thanks!

Hi, I suspect the brothers Zorin are trying to maintain system stability over 'WOW' factors! I just hope accessibility in Compiz will still be active. Compiz's leading light worked for Canonical (Ubuntu) - he left late last year/early this year to complete his Degree in Computer Science - there are (allegedly) 13 devs working for Canonical specifically looking at how it can be maintained but I am sceptical - moreso that the leading light has no intention of returning.
