important info missing from awn panel. Sometimes after booting the information is there. Now, it's usually not there after boot-up. What's with this behavior? It's there, then it's not, then it's back again, now it's not! The connection thing, user info, date, clock, etc... everything to the right of the language thing seems to not load most of the time.

Using Zorin 8, 64bit.

If I use the zorin look changer and select the win7 look, all the missing stuff re-appears. If I re-boot, it's all gone, including the app launchers. WTF?

Hi and welcome to Zorin! Have you completed an update of the system? Have you followed Wolfman's post installation guide here::

I would also try uninstalling AWN and reinstalling by opening a terminal and entering;

Code:
sudo apt-get purge avant-window-navigator && sudo apt-get install gwen
