Further info: the error message is

error:file '/boot/grub/i386-pc/boot.mod not found

Entering rescue mode

Grub rescue>

I have found this message on the internet and tried to apply some suggestions but they do not seem to be Zorin specific
Basically, I have booted from the Zorin disc, gone into terminal mode and then tried various solutions none of which worked.

I.d really like to get back into the boot list so I can use the computer and maybe get some sentimental documents off before I overwrite XP completely with a full Zorin boot.

Surprised how nicely Zorin recognizes USB wifi dongles.

Able to use it with a printer and medical record software

You must be a genius-it worked and I got windows back so I can transfer my files and settings over to a $15 working Win XP computer I got at a garage sale.before I do a stand alone install of Zorin on this computer.
Thanks so much
