I am using Zorin 8 gaming, (i love it BTW) but I've hit a snag... when i try it use play a high end games like Crysis. my frames drop, so i would like to disable compositing... you know to squeeze a few more frames out... anyway the only way i know how to do this is with fusion-icon. however it segfaults every time... i did some googling, even searched this forum, and came up empty handed. is there a better way than
Code:
metacity --replace?
i don't have the crash log ATM, but i can get it if you think it will be handy, however i have never seen this particular error before, something to do with an unwritable VMA and the .mov extension??? at any rate any help will be useful. thanks and best regards

Hi, I don't know if the devs are going to create a Zorin 9 Gamers edition but Zorin 8 (all versions) are now end-of-life - you would be better giving Zorin 9 a try and installing what games you have on that platform. :D
Zorin 9 is LTS (Long Term Support) 'til April 2019
