Wireless and Ethernet not working on new Zorin OS install

I'm new to the world of Zorin, a Windows XP migrant. Trying to install 32 bit Zorin 9 on my Dell Latitude D830. Problem is I can't get an internet connection. Wifi (Broadcom) not working and when I connect an ethernet cable I get nothing. I'm typing this on another computer. I ran some commands I saw on this website and pasted them below, please help!

Lets try to fix the wireless first so that you can download the ethernet firmware afterwards.

From another computer with internet, download this compressed file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/n2tjz9jnj9xw5 ... ar.gz?dl=0
A file called b43.tar.gz will be dowloaded.
Now use a USB stick and transfer this file to the zorin computer. Copy paste it inside your Downloads folder.
As soon as you paste it, right-click it and select "extract here". The file will be extracted so you will now have a folder named b43 inside your Downloads folder.

Now open terminal (ctrl+alt+T) and run the following 4 commands, the one after the other, pressing <enter> after each one.

sudo modprobe b43

After the last command, wait 5-6 seconds and hopefully your wireless will start working. Check for available wireless netoworks in network manager.

Have you checked if your ethernet is also working? Both cards are Broadcom so maybe they use the same drivers.
Even if from the results you gave in your first post I see that your ethernet is perfectly normal. Check if the ethernet cable you use is damaged.
