Hi, you won't need your disc unless it contains Linux PPD's (Linux Proprietary Printer Drivers).

For best results, open a terminal (Menu | Accessories | Terminal) and enter:

Code:
system-config-printer

The 'Add Printer' dialog box opens - click on the '+' and wait for the next window to appear - choose your connection type and click next - it will then load a list of manufacturers - choose the correct name to get a list of the printers available - keep following the prompts until it is installed - if you are using A4 you need to change the printer settings as this utility always defaults to US Letter (Letter)! :D
