Problem with date applet in panel

I can't get the date applet to recognize my location. Anything I type, including San Diego, CA -- the nearest big city to mine -- comes back as "No records found." Do I have to move to Amsterdam to make this work? <grin>

Thanks.

Hi, When you installed Zorin, did you try entering San Diego in the 'Location' bar below the world maop? ;)

Nope, just chose the Los Angeles time zone. Is this the problem? Sounds rather fishy. You would think you could just go to the Preferences in the applet, enter your location, and get the weather.

Well to be honest I didn't try it until Zorin 6 I think - when I installed, instead of London, I entered Sheffield - amazing the number of places around the world that have Sheffield! So if you entered San Diego at install in that box it should show up but I can't tell! :D

Thanks anyway. I guess I'll have to wait for a better applet to come along. Best regards.
