Missing shutdown button

Hi
I am running Zorin OS9 on my desktop and laptop computers and have more or less got to grips with the various settings menus. However, I seem to have lost the shutdown button on the laptop. It definitely was there before I played with the settings. On my desktop computer it appears in the Applications Launch Bar list and would appear to call up the function: Exec = Ixsession-default quit. It is missing from the Applications Launch Bar on the laptop.
Any ideas please how I can recover the button.
Thanks
Jim
