Zorin 9 hangs at creating user

HI, I saw a post here about this issue, however mine seems to be a little different, some info:

Clean install, Zorin only, no dual boot. hard drive is new.
Installing on a laptop, plugged in, 4gb ram on a 160gb drive
its an AMD mobile APU E series, 1.3GHZ with Radeon 6310 video

It does not seem to be locked up, the DVD will spin up every now and then and access (about every 3-5 mins) but does not progress further. I can also click and interact with the top menu (network settings, etc) and its been sitting at the same level of progress for about 3 hrs now. Thanks in advance for any info provided!

Hi, It takes a very long time if you are installing with 'apply updates during install'! ;)

Thank you, yes I let it keep going, took over 17 hrs but finally installed and is working great now. Thanks for your info.
