Bluetooth barcode scanner

Anyone setup a bluetooth barcode scanner to work as an input device in Zorin 9? My USB bluetooth adapter seems to be working fine. I can search and apparently connect to the scanner which it labels as a computer but the scanner never comes back out of discovery mode. When I scan a barcode nothing happens. Thank you!

Please take a look at these two threads from Ubuntu forums - albeit that it relates to 10.04:

and the solution:

Obviously you will need to change the name if your device is not Cypress. No guarantees - all I could find. :D

When using Blueman Device Manager 1.23 I was able to connect to the bluetooth scanner which took it out of discovery mode automatically. Still, nothing happens when I scan a barcode.

I did, but it seems the thread relates to a USB barcode reader.
