I followed the Gizmuntus post on how to install pipelight but got the following error message at the end after entering the last command

E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?

Hi, usually a var lock message indicates that you could be running another application (administration type) as well as the terminal - for instance, system updates require authentication - if this is running while you are attempting to run a 'sudo' command in the terminal it will create this issue - as will running synaptic package manager! :D

Lastly, you should not be running Zorin8 any more as support has ended - just like Ubuntu 13.10 on which it was based - July of this yearr - you should either install Zorin 6 or Zorin 9 - both long-term installs.

I have only seen that message when already using a package manager to do something. If you don't know what this means, reboot the computer and ONLY install pipelight and don't to anything thing on the computer until it finishes. =D Keep it Simple Method.

The other possibility, is just wait for a while (untill the other package manager is done) and try again.
