[MOVED] How to get Zorin OS version

I am trying to find out how to get the Zorin version installed on a laptop. All the OS version info (uname -a, etc) list the Ubuntu OS version, but I cannot find anyway to list the Zorin version installed.

Thanks for any info ..

Hi, open a terminal (Ctrl+ Alt+ T) and enter:

Code:

OK, I am guessing you are using Zorin 6 - but it might be that somewhere along the line you have not got 'Check for the latest releases of Ubuntu' set to 'Never'. ;)

That is my original issue - do you have to guess to determine a version of this software? Seems it must be registered somewhere ????

Another place for you to try is:

Menu | System Tools | System Settings and click on the 'Details' icon in the bottom row. If it still shows Ubuntu you have a corrupt Zorin install! :(
