[RESOLVED] Trying to install audacity

I downloaded the latest version of Audacity but I can't seem to get it to install. I keep getting error messages "Dependency is not satisfyable". Is there any way to get this to install? If so, what do I need? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

It could be that if you downloaded from the Audacity site that it does not match your current kernel etc - have you done a complete update of your system after installation? For stability reasons, only install from the Software Centre - at least you know it will (should!) work. ;)
