Hello,

I recently migrated from Ubuntu 14.04 to Zorin (which is based on Ubuntu 12.04 as far as I understand it). Everything is working quite nicely apart from the fact that my printer (Canon i-sensys MF-4150) doesn't print. There's is only an error message which says "printing has been interrupted" (Sorry, I have to translate this from German). When I check afterwards there are no print jobs put on hold.

The printer is connected via usb and zorin (or the system) has recognized the type / the version etc. there are now two .ppd-files in this folder: /etc/cups/ppd.

As an alternative I have tried to install two debian-packages (for exactly this type of printer) which i downloaded from the canon-site.

their names:

cndrvcups-common_2.90-1_amd64.deb
cndrvcups-ufr2-uk_2.90-1_amd64.deb

Unfortunately there was no difference. Hopefully someone can help me. If you use Linux commands please be a little bit more detailed, as I am no expert in this field.

Thank you!

Hi, I assume you downloaded from here?:

https://driverscollection.com/?H=i-SENS ... n&SS=Linux

I would ensure that you have CUPS fully installed - to check this out, go to Menu | System Tools | Administration | Synaptic Package Manager and search for CUPS.

Then follow the guide here:

For clarity Zorin 6 is based on 12.04 - Zorin 9 is based on Ubuntu 14.04 - supported until April 2019! ;)
