I just won a draw prize and i got a dell pc. And when i started up there is already an account that is made named ''user'' i tried to reset password using root example, mount -rw -o remount/ then i tried command passwd. When it says change UNIX Password: ....... I couldn't type with my keyboard, i tried to type it won't work Please answer my question.. So the problem is that i can't type when it says New UNIX Password: .....

Answer Below.......

There will be no visible text on the screen while typing on your keyboard. [ Example ] {{ Terminal }}
That is done for security reasons.
In some log-in screens...when entering a password....you will see either dashes/dots.
In most cases you will see nothing when enetring a password.
Lastly to make [ note ] of.....some log-in screens have a [box] ....that can be " checked " to enable one to see the password....as it is being entered.
