Joining a Widows 7 network

Very much a novice here, so any simple help appreciated.
Loaded Zorin last night, no problems, and it saw my Win 7 machine and printer on my home network, and I could access folders on the Win machine
Today, nothing visable, and when I open network, it shows my workgroup, but I cannot join ( asks for password).
Cannot see my Linux machine from Windows machine, or visa versa.
What have I done wrong?
Thanks
Ian K

You may need to ensure that all your packages are updated first. Open a terminal and enter:

Code:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Your Zorin machine needs to be in the same workgroup for file access:

I never allow the default naming of any GNU/Linux install - you need to do a manual install for complete success:

Hi.
Followed ALL the above advice/Links etc etc, with no luck.
So, re-formatted the disk, downloaded (yesterday) Zorin OS9 again, and did a totally clean instal, downloading upgrades as it went.
It all worked....:)
However, it seems to require either the Windows machine booting up AFTER the Zorin machine, or rebooting both at the same time.
Will carry on playing today, and see if I can break it.
Cheers
