Mame roms

Hi,

I'm quite new to Linux, as in installed it a while back but had graphics issues, installed again with Zorin 9 yesterday.

I've installed a couple of apps, and seem to be ok, found how to use hidden files etc....

What is puzzling me is the mame roms.

I looked in the ini file, and it shows the paths, but I'm unable to copy the roms there as I don't have permission.

Could someone be kind enough to tell me in simple-ish terms how I can do this?

Loving this at the moment, faster and more stable than Windows, so I'm hoping to make it my daily OS.

Cheers

Chris.

Are you talking about this?:

To gain 'root' admin rights, open a terminal (Ctrl+ Alt+ T) and enter:

Code:
gksudo nautilus
but be sure you are not connected to the internet as your privileges will be raised to that of 'root' (administrator). If you need to then change things in .ini you need to open a new explorer (Nautilus) window - not that one that opens after you escalate your privileges - and if using a terminal, a new terminal window. :D
