Hi guys I know this isn't a Zorin problem but I was hoping that one of the more knowlegable might be able to help me,I have a 64 gig micro sd card that only shows 1mb I have run test disc and this is what it said.
TestDisk 6.14, Data Recovery Utility, July 2013
Christophe GRENIER <grenier@cgsecurity.org>
http://www.cgsecurity.org

Disk /dev/sdf - 1048 KB / 1024 KiB - CHS 1024 1 2

The harddisk (1048 KB / 1024 KiB) seems too small! (< 67 GB / 62 GiB)
Check the harddisk size: HD jumpers settings, BIOS detection...

The following partitions can't be recovered:
Partition Start End Size in sectors
> MS Data 38 131071973 131071936 [DISK_IMG]
MS Data 63 131071998 131071936 [DISK_IMG]
MS Data 64 131071999 131071936 [DISK_IMG]
MS Data 70 131072005 131071936 [DISK_IMG]

[ Continue ]
FAT32, blocksize=32768, 67 GB / 62 GiB

I was hoping that you might be able to point me in the right direction for recovering this .

Hi,

insert the card and then run Gparted and see if you can pick out any further info from Gparted!. Is the disk completely full and that is why it is only showing 1MB?.

Did you have the card mounted on another PC and didn't do a clean "Safe Remove" (unmount) ?.

Let us know what happens. :D

Hi Wolfman
Thanks for the reply this is a brand new card have run Gparted and I did not get as far as with Testdisk ,Gparted only shows the card as 1mb where as you can see test disc shows partitions but I can't find how to recover them. I am using a card reader as the card does not mount in my tablet at all .

Hi,

where did you first use the drive?, I would take it back to that device, whatever type it is/was and make sure it gets cleanly unmounted/removed!. :D
