Hi I am still quite new to Zorin but do I need to use any cleaners to remove junk files etc ?, any help appreciated :)

It is a good idea to clean up every once in a while.
Code:
rm -rv ./.cache/* #This will remove cached data for most programs
rm -r ~/.local/share/Trash/* #This cleans your trash
sudo apt-get autoclean #Erase old downloaded repository archive files
sudo apt-get autoremove #Remove automatically all unused packages

I suggest running the autoremove after running updates, clean up trash once every 3-6 months (dependent on how often you delete stuff and how much space you have/need), and personally, I run autoclean with autoremove however you really only need to autoclean when you having issues with updates.

Hope this answers your questions!

Finally, to remove duplicate files, don't forget 'fslint':

If you have Ubuntu Tweak installed there is also 'Janitor'.

You need to install it manually! ;)

http://ubuntu-tweak.com/

You can install it with the software cente or use 'gdebi' if you have it installed by right-click after download - it will not show in the menu.

Next open a terminal (Menu | Accessories | Terminal) and enter:

Code:
ubuntu-tweak

Once launched you should see an icon in the panel (ubuntu logo on green background) - pin it to the panel by right-click and 'pin application' ;)
