Hi Stephanie,

you should be using the "nvidia-331" package, see the link for more details:

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2490

The newer Nvidia drivers are not yet available via Synaptic so you won't find them listed in my guide!, stick with version 331 for now because the other drivers may not be supported!. :D

Use the terminal command (Ctrl + Alt + t) below to replace the 304 package with 331:

Code:
sudo apt-get remove nvidia-current && sudo apt-get install nvidia-331

RESTART AND RUN AN UPDATE AFTER INSTALL!. :D

And don't forget the separate package:

Code:
sudo apt-get install nvidia-settings

;)

GeForce Experience is for Windows users - they are not going to waste resources on GNU/Linux users! :lol:

Hi stephanie,

Nvidia drivers will update automatically when then have a new version and the kernel also supports them!. The suggestion to use the 304 isn't bad as I too have had problems with 319 and 331!. :D
