Hi Stephanie,

install the package "gnome-color-chooser", I cannot tell you if it will work and you will have to play around with it, to install via a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + t):

Code:
sudo apt-get install gnome-color-chooser

GNOME Color Chooser_001.jpg

I hope it helps!. :D

Hi Stephanie,

it looks like you will have to change the .css bit in your theme folder (the theme you are currently using), each theme has its own file so if you change the theme, you will have to edit each theme file, see the last answer here:

http://askubuntu.com/questions/89734/ho ... icons?rq=1

You will also have to find out the codes for the various colours!:

https://design.ubuntu.com/brand/colour-palette

Hi Wolfman and thank you, I have managed to change all font colour apart from desktop and jump list, I’m using theme Zorin Blue and have changed all #EFEFEF to #15A9F3 (the same blue as Zorin start button) this also has to be performed as ROOT in Zorin Ultimate, so thank you but my desktop text stays white  :?

The only way I can change the desktop font is:

Menu | System Tools | Preferences | Tweak Tool - and change the GTK+ element - so instead of white, i now have black font using Oxygen-gtk - you will need to go to somewhere like gnome-look.org or other website that does GTK Themes for GTK 3:

Hi,

open your home folder and press Ctrl + h to show hidden files, do you have a folder ".themes"?, if you do, extract the tar file and copy and paste the extracted files into the ".themes" folder and then change your theme with Tweak Tool!.

If you don't have a .themes folder, right click the home folder desktop and create new folder and give it the name ".themes". :D

You can also paste them into your main themes folder as root with:

Code:
gksudo nautilus
