I'm a newcomer to Linux-based operation systems and decided to give Zorin a go. The installation was great, everything looked good after the installation as well. The only problem is that I have no sound. I do hear a test sound when I adjust the volume on my headset's built in volume switch.
My headset is Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000.

Hi,

if you hear a test sound, you have sound!.

The following is copied from another thread but you can use the info!:

Did you install following the advice above?.

Have you done a complete system update?:

Open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + t) and paste the following command and then restart:

Code:
sudo apt-get install libsox-fmt-all faac flac paman

You will find paman (Pulse Audio Manager) under the sound and video menu. Make a link on your taskbar (panel) or desktop!!. Paman can be a handy tool!.

Can we be clear on this issue? You have no sound from your speakers but you do from your headset?

I managed to fix the issue on my own before my post was accepted.

I just didn't realize I had to set the default audio device on my own.
