This is probably a stupid question, but I'm pretty new to Linux so need some help. :? Tried to search, but the terms were too common!
Just did a software update and a window came up Debconf - "Configuring grub-pc". Options include "install the package maintainer's version" and "keep the local version currently installed" among several others. Help!!?? :?: :?: :?:

I went with my instinct (not always the most reliable source of advice, LOL!) and went with "keep the local version currently installed". I can always update it later if I wish. Everything seems fine. Hopefully it will stay that way.

Hi,

always choose to replace the file with the newer one!.

Run this command if things go wrong in the near future:

Code:
sudo update-grub

Well, everything is still working fine. I'll use the command to update if needed. So, yes, I guess it's solved. Not really sure why that came up in the first place; it didn't come up on the other nearly identical system/machine. Thanks again for your help!
