Problem with desktop Documents folder

I'm new to Zorin (about 3 weeks). There is a problem with the Documents icon on the desktop: It does not point to the Documents folder. Clicking on it opens an empty folder on the desktop. I know how to fix problems like this in Windows but not in Zorin. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi, Zorin desktop only has 'Home' and 'Trash' on it - 'Home' contains all your folders for Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Music, Pictures, Public, Templates, Videos - a bit like 'Libraries' in Windows. If you want Documents to appear separately you will need to create a shortcut to it. Right-click your Documents folder in 'Home' and select 'make link' - this will place a shortcut within 'Home' folder - just drag it to your Desktop!

Right click the icon > Properties > Permission and then on "Execute".
