Hi, I hope someone can help as I was quite enjoying this.
The latest updates applied April 21st 2015 have messed up my display settings.
The display now says it's 1024x768 when in fact the resolution should be 1280x800 or something similar.
The responsiveness of the applications opening and closing is also really slow as far as the display is concerned.

I have been into display settings and there are only 2 options for resolution:
1024x768 and 800x600

My laptop is an Acer 5920G with NVidia mobile 8600GT graphics.

Is there any way to roll back the updates or fix the display some other way?

Thanks in advance

Chris.

Hi Chris,

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2490

The link above is for Nvidia drivers, I would try simply installing the "nvidia-current" package as I have an Nvidia card too and it works!, open a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + t) and paste the following command then retstart:

Code:
sudo apt-get install nvidia-current

Let us know if it helps!. :D

It could be a kernel issue you are experiencing - try booting with earlier kernel at GRUB menu at boot time and see if that is the issue - if it is the latest kernel causing the issue, I will post later on how to remove. :D
