Access denied to shared folder

I am unable to connect from a Windows PC to a Zorin installation (latest as of this date), although the network is up and running in that I can see the shared folders and computers. Any ideas - thanks.

I would always use the 'Public' folder for sharing in home. Have you updated the system? Is samba fully installed? Have all folders got all user read/write permissions?
