Hello all - have installed the 32bit version of Zorin OS Lite on a netbook. Everything is going well however I can't work out how to get the desktop icons to snap to a grid and stay there. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance, Michael.

Hi, having browsed information about this in respect of Lubuntu (on which Zorin Lite is based) it would appear to be an 'ongoing' issue that has not been resolved. The best on offer is a workaround given by a Dr.Frost:

Thank you for your reply. It seems that you can align the icons after all. I was just going about it the wrong way. I was trying to right click anywhere on the desktop but you need to first position the icons roughly where you want them and then drag a box around them with your mouse (to highlight them). At that point you can right click anywhere in the highlighted area and select 'Snap to Grid'. So far that seems to have done the trick.
