Losing The Time Toolbar

Hello there, newbie here!

Running Zorin OS 8 64-bit. All WAS good until of late for seemingly no reason I occasionally lose the toolbar in the bottom right that shows the keyboard, connections status, volume. time and the user name. All I have left is the En2 icon ref the keyboard.

The weird thing is that if I go Zorin Menu/System Tools/Zorin Look Changer and select Windows 7, Windows XP or GNOME 2 irrespective of what I'm already on then the "missing" toolbar comes back when the screen changes - almost like a refresh.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Hi, you should no longer be running Zorin 8 - it is end of life! (As Ubuntu 13.04 is on which it was based) You need to upgrade to Zorin 9 which is supported until April 2019 - not only that your 'glibc' poses a security risk! ;) :D

Also make sure you have the system updated:

Losing the clock etc may well be theme related, try downloading a different theme from here:
